SaladPower fits most eating patterns, because it is six whole organic ingredients and nothing else: spinach, kale, carrot, broccoli, apple and lemon. It is vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free and paleo compatible. The two clear exceptions are ketogenic diets, because a pouch carries 16 g of net carbohydrate, and the elimination phase of a low FODMAP diet, because apple is a high FODMAP fruit.
Below is the diet-by-diet answer, then the numbers that decide each one, so you can check the reasoning rather than take our word for it.
The short answer, diet by diet
| Diet | Compatible? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Vegan and plant-based | Yes | No dairy, honey or animal-derived ingredients |
| Vegetarian | Yes | Same reason |
| Gluten-free | Yes | No grain ingredients of any kind |
| Dairy-free | Yes | Produce only |
| Paleo | Yes | No grains, legumes, dairy or added sugar |
| Whole30 | Ingredients qualify | Nothing on the exclusion list. Check the current program rules, which the program updates |
| Autoimmune protocol (AIP) | Ingredients qualify | No grains, legumes, dairy, eggs, nuts, seeds or nightshades. Confirm with your practitioner |
| Mediterranean | Yes | Vegetable-forward whole food, squarely in the pattern |
| Low sodium | Yes | 90 mg per pouch, 4% of the Daily Value |
| Nut-free, soy-free, egg-free | Yes | None of those ingredients are present |
| Moderate low-carb | Depends | 16 g net carbs fits a 100 g/day budget comfortably, a 50 g/day budget less so |
| Ketogenic | No | 16 g net carbs would consume most or all of a typical daily keto allowance |
| Low FODMAP (elimination) | No | Apple is classified high FODMAP |
| Raw food | No | Commercially processed, sealed and shelf-stable, not raw |
| Intermittent fasting | In the eating window | At 90 calories it breaks a fast |
Why the answer is usually yes
Most diet-compatibility questions are really questions about an ingredient list. Elimination diets exclude categories: grains, legumes, dairy, eggs, nuts, seeds, nightshades, additives, added sugar. A product with thirty ingredients is likely to trip at least one of those categories, which is why compatibility gets complicated.
SaladPower has six ingredients, all of them whole produce, all USDA Certified Organic: spinach, kale, carrot, broccoli, apple and lemon. There are no added sugars, no sweeteners, no flavours, no gums, no fillers and no proprietary blends. That is the entire reason it clears so many lists at once. It is not engineered for compatibility; there is simply very little in it to react to.

Where it does not fit, and why
Ketogenic diets
A pouch has 21 g of total carbohydrate and 5 g of fiber, which is 16 g of net carbohydrate, alongside 11 g of naturally occurring sugar from the apple, carrot and vegetables. Ketogenic diets typically cap total carbohydrate somewhere between 20 g and 50 g a day. One pouch would take most of the low end of that range and a meaningful share of the high end. It is not a keto product and we do not position it as one.
Low FODMAP, during elimination
Apple is classified as a high FODMAP fruit by Monash University, which developed and maintains the FODMAP food classification. Since apple is one of the six ingredients, a pouch is not a good fit during the strict elimination phase. Whether it works during reintroduction or afterwards depends on your own tolerance, which is exactly what that phase is for, and is a question for the dietitian running your protocol.
Raw food diets
SaladPower is commercially processed, sealed and shelf-stable. That is what allows a pouch of vegetables to sit in a bag for months without preservatives, and it is also what makes it unsuitable for a diet defined by uncooked and unprocessed food. Worth noting that processed and ultra-processed are not the same thing, which is covered in is SaladPower ultra-processed.
If you are managing blood sugar
This is not a diet so much as a constraint, and it deserves a plain answer rather than a yes or no. A pouch contains 21 g of total carbohydrate, 5 g of fiber and 11 g of naturally occurring sugar, with 0 g of added sugar. Count it the way you would count a serving of fruit and vegetables, because that is what it is. How that fits your own targets is a conversation for your doctor or diabetes educator, not something a product page can answer for you.
The numbers that decide it
Every judgement on this page comes from the panel, so here it is.
| Per 8 oz pouch | Amount | % DV | Which diets it decides |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calories | 90 | Intermittent fasting | |
| Total carbohydrate | 21 g | 8% | Keto, low-carb |
| Dietary fiber | 5 g | 18% | Net carb calculation |
| Total sugars | 11 g | Blood sugar, keto | |
| Added sugars | 0 g | 0% | Whole30, paleo, AIP |
| Sodium | 90 mg | 4% | Low sodium |
| Protein | 2 g | Supplementary at 2 g | |
| Total fat | 0 g | 0% | Low fat |
Two honest limits worth stating alongside the compatibility list. At 2 g protein is supplementary, and at 90 mg of sodium it is a low-sodium food rather than an electrolyte or rehydration product. Compatible with a diet is not the same as sufficient for one.

Frequently asked questions
Is SaladPower keto friendly? No. A pouch has 21 g of total carbohydrate and 5 g of fiber, so 16 g of net carbs, against a typical ketogenic allowance of 20 g to 50 g of carbohydrate per day. One pouch would use most of the low end of that range.
Is SaladPower low FODMAP? Not during the elimination phase. Apple is classified as high FODMAP by Monash University, and apple is one of the six ingredients. Tolerance after reintroduction is individual and is a question for the dietitian running your protocol.
Is SaladPower Whole30 compliant? The ingredients contain nothing on the Whole30 exclusion list: no added sugar, grains, legumes, dairy or alcohol. Whole30 maintains and updates its own rules, so check the current program guidance before starting a round.
Is SaladPower gluten-free and dairy-free? Yes to both. The complete ingredient list is spinach, kale, carrot, broccoli, apple and lemon, so there are no grain or dairy ingredients. It contains no nut, soy or egg ingredients either.
Can I drink it while intermittent fasting? Not during the fasting window. At 90 calories it breaks a fast. Drink it inside your eating window.
